What’s best to order when you visit them?
Fancy pizza names with fancier toppings to choose from can be confusing. Therefore, THT Travel & Lifestyle explored four popular pizza outlets in the town to sample their most popular pizzas along with their most sought after desserts, so that the next time you are in these eateries, you know what to order. Buon appetito!

    Roadhouse café
In the busy street of Thamel is a haven for pizza lovers known as Roadhouse Café. All their Pizzas are thin crust, wood fired and come in 12-inch size.
For choosy folks, they have ‘Choose your own topping’ option, where you got to choose any four toppings at Rs.495 for vegetarian and Rs.585 for the meat lovers. Smoked chicken, pork pepperoni, green olives and jalapeno was just the right combination with the jalapeno giving it a spicy kick. As for the crust, it was thin and soft with the cheese melted just right. For dessert, try their Sizzling Brownie with Ice-cream (Rs.270). The soft warm brownie melts in your mouth while the ice-cream is a delightful deviation to the palate from the warm rich brownie.
    Other Popular Pizzas
    Pesto, tomato and black olive

    Fire and Ice Pizzeria
Also located in Thamel, one can smell their pizzas even a few meters away from the restaurant. Our Pizza pick was Paesana, which has tomato, mozezarella, spinach, zucchini, bacon, garlic and parmesan for toppings. Fresh toppings and the chewy crust is a delight in every bite. To go along with it, try their Fresh watermelon Shake (Rs.180) or Homemade Iced Tea (Rs.170) – both sure to refresh you. The restaurant’s most popular dessert and must try for those with sweet tooth is Amoer Mio with Ice-Cream (Rs.320). It tastes as delectable as its name.
