    Introduction
    Sindupalchok district which covers 2542 square kilometers is linked with the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu which exists at the height of 1300metres from the sea level. The district has been connected with Dolkha and Ramechahap districts as well as autonomous region of China, Tibet in east, Nuwakot and Rasuwa district in the west, Rasuwa district and autonomous region of China Tibetin the north and Kavrepalanchok, Kathmandu and Ramechhap districts in the south. Politically and administratively it has been divided into three areas, 13 territories and 79 Village Development Committees. It lias in the Central Divison of Nepal as per the administrative divison and it’s headquarter is called Chautara. The different castes of people like Tamang, Sherpa, Yolmo, Brahmin, Chhetri, Newar, Gurung and Dalit follow the religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Jainism and Islam in the district. The total population of the district is 3,15,902 in which 29.5% people are literate and 34% re the marginalized people.

    Tourist Destination
    Some of the famous and remarkable tourism places in the district are;
    1. Helambu Shermathang, Tarke Gyang, Aama Yangri, Kutumsang, Ganhyul, Melamci Gaun
    2. Panch Pokhari (A place of five lakes), Bhairab Kunda (lake)
    3. Mount Jugal, Ne Pemasal, Chyo Chyo Danda,
    4. Tatopani (Hot Spring), Miteri Pool (FriendshipBridge),

    Helambu , Aama Yangri
    It lies in the western part of the district where especially Yolmo people live in majority. Thousands of tourists visit this place due to the warm hospitality of Sherpa Yolmo people, Buddhist Stupa and the natural beauties of 2590 meter are Shermanthang, Nigale Dada, Tarke Ghyang, Melamchi village, Kutumsang, Ghopte Ghyang, Timbu, Kakani and Ghangyul. Similarly, Aama Yangri which exists at the height of 3536 meter is the most famous tourism destination in the area.

    Pach Pokhari, Haveli
    Panch Pokhari Lake which exists at the height of 4060 meter from the sea level is located at Bhotang V.D.C. ward no.1. It is in north-west from the head quarter of the district. This is one of the most famous glacier lakes among the most famous glacier lakes among the most famous nine glacier lake in the world. The five small and beautiful lakes have been combined into a lake which is the main centre of attraction for the tourists. The tourists can observe the 178 year old beautiful and historic Haveli (palace) built by Ran Bir Sing Thapa on the way to Panch Pokhari. Besides, people can have the beautiful observation of different cultures of the people like Tamang, Sherpa, Yolmo community in this religiously important destination. A big festival is organized at Janai Purnima festival at this area from where the scenic beauty of the glorious mountains like Mount Dorje Lakpa, Mount Gauri Shankar, Mount Ganesh, Mount Yangri and Mount Jugal can be observed.

    Chyo Chyo Danda
    It lies in the northern part of Chautara, the head quarter of the district which is naturally very important. It falls in Golche V.D.C. and is situated at the height of 3632 meter from the sea level. We can observe the beautiful villages and settlements in the south. Apart from that,Aama Yangri of HElambu area, Gosai Kunda Peak, Langtang Lerung, Gangchhembu, Mount Jugal, Mount Gauri Shankar, Mount Lakpa Dorje as well as the tallest peak of the world Mount Everest also can be observed from this destination.

    Mt. Jugal, Ne PEMA SAL
    It lies in northern part of the head quarter Chautara which exists at the altitude of 3151 in Gummba V.D.C. It is the nearest mountain from the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. Since the two remarkable mountains exist at same place, so, it is called Jugal Himal (Double Mountain). The sports related with tourism like Mountain Climbing, Mountain Flight can be conducted in this mountainous area. Similarly, another religious important area that lies on the lap of Mount Jugal, called Ne Pema Sal is also popular in this area because the cave and the stone where the Buddhist teacher Remboche had a penance, the stupa (Buddhist temple) called Chhendan and the medow where near about 700 to 800 houses can be built also exist in this area. Around 3000 to 4000 people can occupy in the cave where teacher Remboche lived. According to the Buddhist religious book Chhoi, many people in the ancient age die to the extremely scorching sunlight and it is also believed that those people who came to stay in this cave remained alive. Similarly, it is said that creatures living around this cave get no any harm from any kind of dangers.

    Miteri Pool (Friendship Bridge), Tato pani Dhara (Hot Spring), Bungee Jump, Rafting
    It lies in the northern part of the district which is one of the most famous commercial links to China. The fourth largest commercial border between China and Nepal exists in this bridge. There is a revenue collection up to Nrs. 150,00,000 dealt every day in this area. Thousands of domestic and international tourists visit this area every day. Nepalese people can visit with a one day Visa to Khasa Bazaar (market) of Chian along with their citizenship certificate and can observe the Chinese industries, landscapes and can purchase goods. Similarly, a number of domestic and as well as international tourists visit Tato Pani (Hot Spring) for showering that spring out of a strange cliff. It is situated on the way to Khasa Bazaar, some two kilometer close to Miteri pool in Nepalese land. After paying the entry charge of Nrs. 10.00, people can take shower in their interested tops that cost Nrs.20.00 to Nrs. 300.00 and can enjoy. Single, couple bath and well as can have swimming. Similarly, people can enjoy Bungee-jump over Bhote Koshi River which is the deepest Bungee-jump site in Asia. Besides, Canyon Swing, Hidden Canyon, High Ropes, Rafting and Kayaking can be enjoyed in this Bhote Koshi River.

    Bhairab Kunda
    This pond exists at the altitude of 3985 meter which lies in the northern part of the head quarter of the district Chautara border of Tato pani, Listi and Gumba V.D.C. A huge fair (fete) is organized at Janai Purnima at this religious important lake. Visitors can observe varieties of herb and shrubs, rocks, barren lands, cliffs and mountains, gorges and streams, huge meadows, grazing chauri (mountain cow), yak (mountain ox), sheep, chyangra (mountain goat). Apart from these, visitors can enjoy the scenic beauty of mountains like Lakpa Dorjee, Gauri Shankar, Ganess, Yanri and Jugal as well as some of the beautiful landscapes of China.

    Gaurati BhimeshworTemple
    It is located around 3 kilometers away from Syaule V.D.C. in a small and a beautiful hill. It is in the northern part from the head quarter of the district Chautara which exists at the height of 1,726 meter from the sea level. A grand fete is organized at the glorious and spellbinding templeGaurati Bhimeshwor in Kartik Purnima (Oct./Nov.) which is supposed to be the largest fair across the district.

    Duguna Gadhi (Duguna Fort)
    The historically important Duguna Gadhi exists at the edge of BhotekoshiRiver. According to the historical facts, Nepalese armies used to manage all the securities and accommodations right in this Gadhi (fort) when there was a war between Nepal and Tibet during the reign of Rana Prime Minister Jung Bahadur Rana.

    Others:

    (A) The King of the herbs and shrubs Yarsa Gumba, varieties of flowers as well as more than three hundred types of herbs and Shrubs are found in this district.
    (B) This district is famous for its multi cultures and languages of different ethnic people such as Tamang, Yolmo, Sherpa, Newar and Gurung.
    (C) It is popular for the local food production like potato, apple, chhurpi (made with the milk of mountain cow), cheese etc.
